Jeff Rebrovich (aka Ghost Synthesis) improvises a few pieces to demonstrate the playability of the iKeyboard X. The Icon iKeyboard X Series MIDI keyboard controllers combine great feeling, semi-weighted keyboards with a single channel DAW controller in a slim but rugged metal enclosure. This keyboard is designed for performance. All the controls you need are right at your fingertips. Octave and Transpose buttons are next to the pitch bend and modulation wheels, right next to your fully programmable touch fader with LED feedback which allow you to control and automate levels and other parameters. By the way, That Backlit LED touch fader reacts in real-time with your DAW. It will synchronize automatically with different channel values when switching between channels. A full transport is provided for playback, recording, looping, and changing automation modes. The large rotary encoder with LED ring can be used for panning, setting send levels, controlling plugin parameters, and more. The Icon iKeyboard X comes in multiple configurations - 25 key, 37 key, 49 key, 61 key, and 88 key versions. In the video, Jeff is playing the iKeyboard 6X 61 key unit. Each is bundled with Cubase LE and includes factory presets for most popular DAW’s including Cubase, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Samplitude and Studio One. Every control on the iKeyboard X can be custom-mapped to any MIDI application using the included iMap software. The iKeyboard X uses Mackie Control and HUI protocols for presets and automatic mapping, and can be configured for general MIDI values as well. But everyone's favorite feature is the touch on that keyboard. Our semi-weighted key bed offers a little more resistance than a synth weighted board. Users say it feels similar to an organ.
