Norris Lake, also known as Norris Reservoir, is a reservoir that is located in North East Tennessee, at the Cove Creek Site on the Clinch River. The reservoir was created in 1936 by the Tennessee Valley Authority for flood control, water storage, and hydroelectric power. It is noted as the best lake in Tennessee and also one of the cleanest lakes in the region. Norris Lake sits in 5 counties with over 800 miles of shoreline.
