what's going on, my fighting game crew, this is axel here and we have an very longest fun video for u guys. alright today's video: we're gonna to making a theme history for youtube and it's pretty much like a compilation of every team themes of KOF series for OST & AST version. because today, it's celebrate on FG waifu character birthday, which is march 14th, she's one of my favorite waifu character in KOF series. it's none other than the psychic powered idol and famous pop superstar, athena asamiya. also, l'm including only the mainline KOF games including 98 UM & 2002 UM, expect for spin off games like EX on gameboy advance series, maximum impact, SNK heroines, smash bros ultimate, etc are not present. THE LISTS OF SONGS AND TIMESTAMPS ARE IN PINNED COMMENT SECTION Athena Asamiya is a character originally from Psycho Soldier and a distant relative and modern-day counterpart of Princess Athena from Athena. she later appears as a regular fighter in KOF series; she is perhaps best known for changing her outfit and hair style for virtually every main installment in KOF series. she stars in her own ADV game Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life that was only released in Japan for PlayStation 1 in 1999. her official nickname is: The Psychic Powered Idol or Eternal Psychic Idol. Athena was a highly anticipated character for KOF lineup, and the developers relate that they are constantly working to keep her in the series. throughout the years, her sailor uniform outfit was a frequent request from Japanese fans that was denied due to the belief that it wouldn't translate well with the overseas audience. This kept up until KOF XI, where Athena finally had her sailor uniform, and her classic Psycho Soldier outfit was used in KOF XII. The King of Fighters (KOF) is a series of fighting games by SNK that began with the release of KOF 94 in 1994. The series was developed originally for SNK's Neo Geo MVS arcade hardware. This served as the main platform for the series until 2004 when SNK retired it in favor of the Atomiswave arcade board. two KOF games were produced for the Atomiswave platform (KOF Neowave and KOF XI) before SNK decided to discontinue using it for the series. the series' most recent arcade hardware is the Taito Type X2, first used with the release of KOF XII. ports of the arcade games and the original KOF games have been released for several video game consoles.
