Now that's a pretty solid run, execution wise! It's very unfortunate that this run didn't end up what I really had desired more for entering the last mission of the game. Really upsetting how RNG can lose you so much time, especially RNG that is mostly out of your control. I will admit, some of those sections could have been executed a little better, but I could just barely handle the stress during the final levels in my defense. About a month ago, specifically on September 18th, when I had the WR (back then it was a 1:11:05), I thought I could quit in peace for a long while because I had felt really burnt out on speedrunning MoHAA, until a few days later when Whose decided to come back to the game and whoop my time with a 1:10:43, then with a 1:09:33 in less than a week. Thus, I had the urge to come back to the game and claim the WR back. I gotta say this though, the amount of luck he had was pretty insane here and there, the highlight being the 3:30 City Hall split which I still didn't manage to beat this run, but I surprisingly have beaten my gold by just one second. I also had pretty damn good luck in the first 3 missions with the biggest time loss probably being the 2nd level part of Mission 3 where an enemy somehow magically survived my grenade, costing me a few precious seconds. The 2nd part of mid-game was decent and the late game definitely wasn't the greatest. Like, the Mission 5 time I got this run is decent for my standards, but still somewhat slow because of the same usual maps - those obviously being City Hall and Sniper Bridge. Those two maps in particular have some big problems which we are still trying to sort out but we're having rough luck sadly. And Mission 6 was filled with disappointment all the way through. RNG scenarios that were mostly inevitable unfortunately, as well as some bad execution here and there. And just when you think that the "Best Possible time" is a mid 1:08 entering this final mission, only for the final time to end up being a mid 1:09.... really jarring (in a bad way), if you ask me. As of current plans now, me and Whose are going to take a break from this game on a full game standard for a long time (maybe), until new strats which save lots of time are found, as well as consistent strats for City Hall and Sniper Bridge. Thus, it's likely that both him and I will abstain from breaking the next minute barrier which is not that far off. Perhaps I'll still try to improve some of the mission times separately, since I have 5 out of 6 mission records which I've still yet to submit at this point, as well as improve some of those records I got. The speedgame on the list will be the first expansion pack for MoHAA called "Spearhead", which is about 40 minutes long roughly, so nearly half of this run which is pretty nice. The thing is that I am not sure when exactly I'll start learning the game because I'm feeling pretty burned out and mentally checked out with speedrunning at the moment, therefore I could use a small break.
