Dipping Handmade Coasters (and a bunch of other things) in Paint!

In this video, we use extra paint from our latest maker crate box to dip.. everything we can find. We dip everything from rope coiled coasters and macrame to peg dolls and popsicle sticks! And we had so much fun!! All we needed was watered down acrylic paint and some stuff to dip in it! I kept trying for a layered, ombre effect, but apparently more technique and patience are required for that sort of thing. One thing that worked really well was the way I clipped everything to dry on the drying rack. Letting everything hang to drip dry was a great idea. This is definitely a project that kept us amused for a good long time and ended up giving us some cool stuff. Bonus: the stuff matches the dipped maker crate planters from the last video!! I think the only thing that I would change for the next time would be to let everything dry thoroughly in between coats of paint... and I'd also use brighter colors! I just really like bright colors though! All in all, I thought this was a lot of fun and I would definitely do it again. #paintdipped #coaster
