Visiting PRAGUE by CAMPERVAN | UK to PRAGUE in 48 HOURS??

Is it possible to drive from the UK to Prague in a campervan in 48 hours and visit the city whilst staying in a gorgeous, rural campsite? Well, the answer is very much YES!!!! Back in August I was lucky enough to have a solo van life trip to see my friend in Prague and I decided to document the journey. From leaving the UK at 7pm on the Tuesday I arrived at the campsite near Prague at 6pm on the Thursday via two great overnight parkups and a couple of great daytime stops for work and lunch. It's a long way but more than possible over 2 days as a single driver and also whilst working! I used Park4night to find parkup locations as I went, the only one I planned was the first night as I wanted to get as far East from Calais as possible. Despite some traffic and a closed road at Atwerp, the journey was really straight forward. Europe is set up for van life with so many options for safe, convenient parkups. I was so impressed and can't wait to do it again! The campsite I stayed at in Prague was called Camping Drusus which is located about 12 miles from the centre of Prague by road. You can also walk for 40 mins (or get a local bus for 10 mins) to the metro station at Stodůlky and from here you can get the B line into the centre in under 30 minutes. The campsite itself feels very rural, lots of trees and surrounded by fields. The owners are really friendly and flexible and it's very well priced. The facilities are modern and clean and there's a nice bar/restaurant on site too. It was really great to find yet another example of a good, secure, affordable campasite that enables people in campervans to experience city breaks!
