In this video, Commercial Director, Neal Garrard provides the low down on our new stock arrival, a 2009 Aston Martin DBS manual, shares some model insight, facts and figures and makes the case for the DBS having 'Future Classic' status. Finished in Storm Black, we are delighted to offer for sale this collector-grade 2009 Aston Martin DBS Manual, having covered just 10,000 miles from new and presented in exceptional condition throughout. The 2008–2012 DBS, particularly those equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox, has now firmly established itself as one of the most desirable and collectible Aston Martins from the first generation of Gaydon-built cars (2004–2018). Building on the critical and commercial success of the DB9 — the first model built at Aston Martin’s Gaydon facility using the all-new VH platform — the DBS was first previewed in 2006, alongside the announcement that James Bond would be driving one in Casino Royale. Inspired by the race-winning DBR9 GT1, the DBS combined the DB9’s elegance with a more purposeful edge. After its dramatic on-screen debut in Casino Royale and first public appearance at Pebble Beach in 2007, production began later that year, with first customer deliveries in early 2008. Powered by a 5.9-litre V12 producing 510 bhp, the DBS reduced the 0–60 mph time to 4.2 seconds and reached a top speed of 191 mph. It introduced a number of firsts for Aston Martin, including carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive damping, and carbon-fibre body panels — saving 65 kg over the DB9. At launch, the DBS was available only as a manual 2+0-seater, highlighting its driver-focused nature. This example remains exactly as intended: six-speed manual, 2+0 seating, and the original 20-spoke silver wheels. Inside, Obsidian Black hides with Alcantara seat inserts provide a luxurious yet sporting ambience. Having covered just 10,000 miles, its condition is exceptional — as close to new as a 2009 example could be. Cherished by previous owners, the service record features 13 Aston Martin stamps, confirming consistent maintenance. Additional highlights include Apple CarPlay, rear-view camera, custom-fit Aston Martin indoor car cover, and battery conditioner. A cherished registration number, relevant to the model, may also be available by negotiation. An outstanding example of one of Aston Martin’s most celebrated modern-era models. Supplied fully prepared, detailed and inspected by our workshop team, and includes 12 months warranty. Available for viewing and demonstration now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
