I’ve been a social media manager for years, and one thing I’ve learned is that strategy evolves. What worked for me in 2023 is not the same approach I use today. In this video I’m talking through how my Instagram strategy has shifted over time, including the types of content that used to work for me and what performs best now. Back in 2023 my growth came mostly from b-roll videos, trending audio, lip-sync trends, and meme-style content. I shared a lot of quick tips and short pieces of advice, and I leaned heavily into trends to stay visible on the platform. Fast forward to now, and my strategy looks very different. Carousels consistently perform best for my audience, and my content has shifted toward deeper strategy breakdowns, longer explanations, and more thoughtful insights instead of quick tips. My branding has evolved as well. It feels more like me, more aligned with my voice, and less focused on fitting into what everyone else is doing online.
