We hire a car and make our way over to Ybycui in search of fresh air, hikes and waterfalls! Once again Paraguay was full of surprises for us but in a very different way to Asuncion. Ybycui National Park was so beautiful and peaceful and once again the local people we met along the way were so warm and friendly. Paraguay is definitely one of South Americas hidden gems and we think it is very underrated. If you love peace and quiet with lovely nature, great food options and interesting old buildings then Paraguay needs to be on your list, it’s not crowded or touristy like so many other places in this world!
