રાજ્ય સરકારના અથાક પરિશ્રમથી અમદાવાદ સિવિલ મેડિસીટીની યુ.એન.મહેતા હોસ્પિટલમાં 2.5 વર્ષમાં 50સફળ હાર્ટ ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ થયા ડૉ. ચિરાગ દોશી, ડાયરેક્ટર યુ.એન.મહેતા હોસ્પિટલ ખાનગી હોસ્પિટલમાં માતબર રકમના ખર્ચે થતા હાર્ટ ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ યુ.એન.મહેતા હોસ્પિટલમાં આયુષ્માન કાર્ડ અને યુ.એન.મહેતા ફાઉન્ડેશનના સહયોગથી 96% દર્દીઓને નિ:શુલ્ક ઉપલબ્ધ થયા હૃદય પ્રત્યારોપણ બાદ જીવિત રહેવાનો દર સરેરાશ 92%, વિશ્વ સ્તરે આ દર 90 % જેટલો છે અમદાવાદ સિવિલ મેડિસીટીમાં આવેલ યુ.એન.મહેતા હોસ્પિટલ દ્વારા ફક્ત 2.5 વર્ષના ટુંકાગાળામાં 50 સફળ હાર્ટ ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. વધુ વિગતો આપતા હોસ્પિટલના ડાયરેક્ટર ડૉ. ચિરાગ દોશીએ જણાવ્યું હતુ કે, કેન્દ્ર અને રાજ્ય સરકારના સહયોગથી અમદાવાદની ખ્યાતનામ હોસ્પિટલ શ્રી યુ. એન. મહેતા ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ ઓફ કાર્ડિયોલોજી એન્ડ રિસર્ચ સેન્ટર (UNMICRC) દ્વારા સપ્ટેમ્બર-૨૦૨૨ માં તેની પ્રથમ સફળ હાર્ટ ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ સર્જરીની સીમાચિહ્નરૂપ સિદ્ધિ સાથે હૃદય પ્રત્યારોપણની અસાધારણ સફર શરૂ કરવામાં આવી હતી . ત્યારથી આ સંસ્થાએ અદમ્ય આશા, અવિરત મહેનત અને સમર્પણ દ્વારા ઉત્કૃષ્ટ કામગીરી કરી છે. આરોગ્ય સંભાળ પ્રત્યે સરકારની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા અને અમારા દર્દીઓના જીવન પર વ્યાપક અસરને અમો આભારી છીએ. ડૉ. ચિરાગ દોશીએ જણાવ્યું કે, અમારા માટે ખૂબ જ ગર્વની વાત છે કે, સરકારશ્રીના સહયોગથી 50 દર્દીઓના હૃદયનું સફળતાપૂર્વક પ્રત્યારોપણ કરીને નવજીવન અપાયું છે.જેમાં 37 પુરુષ પુખ્ત વયના, 11 સ્ત્રી પુખ્ત વયના અને 02 બાળદર્દીઓનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, ગુજરાત અને પડોશી રાજ્યો જેવા કે મધ્યપ્રદેશ, રાજસ્થાન અને મહારાષ્ટ્ર સહિત વિવિધ રાજ્યોમાંથી દર્દીઓ અહીં આવે છે. ગુજરાતમાં અમદાવાદ, ગાંધીનગર, રાજકોટ, સુરત, વડોદરા, ભાવનગર અને અન્ય શહેરોમાંથી દર્દીઓ આવે છે. જે અમારી શ્રેષ્ઠ સંસ્થામાં મૂકેલા તેમનો વિશ્વાસ દર્શાવે છે. નોંધપાત્ર રીતે, હૃદય પ્રત્યારોપણ થયેલ દર્દીઓ માટે એક વર્ષ જીવિત રહેવાનો દર લગભગ વિશ્વસ્તરે 90% છે. યુ.એન.મહેતા હોસ્પિટલમાં આ દર 92% જેટલો રહ્યો છે. રાજ્ય સરકારની મદદથી ટૂંકા ગાળામાં 50 હૃદય પ્રત્યારોપણ પૂર્ણ કરનાર રાષ્ટ્રીય સ્તરે સૌથી ઝડપી સંસ્થા તરીકે પણ યુ. એન. મહેતા ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ ઓફ કાર્ડિયોલોજી એન્ડ રિસર્ચ સેન્ટર (UNMICRC) છે. જે હૃદય સંભાળમાં શ્રેષ્ઠતા અને પ્રતિબદ્ધતા માટે એક નવો માપદંડ સ્થાપિત કરે છે. સરકારી યોજનાઓ PMJAY-MA (આયુષ્માન ભારત) યોજનાઓ, UNM ફાઉન્ડેશન અને અન્ય ચેરીટેબલ સંસ્થાઓના સહયોગથી સમાજના નબળા વર્ગોને નાણાકીય સહાય પૂરી પાડવામાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવી છે, જેમાં 96% દર્દીઓ વિનામૂલ્યે સારવાર મેળવી છે.
