Acquired a 5" MAC DS9 last week and did a quick little comparison with my favorite STACCATO P, not exactly the same setup cuz the P has a 4.25" barrel and the MAC has a 5", but it's close enough. My first impression is: I can definitely tell, the MAC's slide is notably less smooth than P, it's smooth but it's not buttery smooth like P, it could have something to do with the stock recoil spring MAC has, it's significantly heavier than the stock one on P. MAC's stock trigger is also way heavier than a P out of the box, but I found no issue doing 5/6 rounds rapid fire. Recoil spring and trigger are pretty ez to change so I don't think that's too big of an issue. Surprisingly MAC DS9 5" comes with an extended version slide release, which the stock STACCATO P doesn't and I have to modify mine with a 1911 extended slide release (cuz I have a small hand). Also MAC comes with a RMR mounting plate and extended mag release button which is also a plus. Now it's hard for me to admit but I don't think this $799 Turkish 2011 is too far off compare to my $2499 staccato P, so if you are in the market for a 2011, MAC DS9 is the perfect budget option for you.
