I got invited to spend the day fishing at a new spot and like any keen angler, I jumped at the chance. Whangaimoana is located between popular tourist spots Lake Ferry and Cape Palliser on the South Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. Approximately two hours drive from Wellington, past the wine-growing region of Martinborough, you arrive at a vast pebble beach with great fishing conditions. Not the biggest haul but definitely a fun day out with the guys and with this scenery, who's complaining?
