He began his career in 1996 performing at various underground local events, and in 1999, he officially entered the music scene with his band Naga, a collaboration project with George Katsimpris. Naga was formed after Alex Loizos, also known as Summoners, invited Miamis to give music lessons to Katsimpris. The band's debut track, "Prepare To Die," was a massive hit and led to a record deal with Discobole in 1999. However, in 2002, Naga disbanded, and Mendark continued as a solo artist. In 2003, he decided to start his own label, Unicorn Music, and released his debut album as Mendark, "Haze To Order." Mendark and Naga's style is known for its hard kicks and grooves, strong energy, and typically dark, cosmic, and dystopic melodies. However, their melodies occasionally have a happier mood.
