This is an amazing story of an aspiring Olympian that's dreams were cut short by a traumatic knee injury that occurred while playing Collegiate Volleyball. She was forced to retire from sports at the age of 21 due to chronic knee pain and swelling that was so severe that walking was a painful struggle. Several years went by and her knee continued to degenerate, her patella was quite literally displaced 2 inches outside (laterally) from where it should have been. Several rounds of physical therapy and chiropractic failed. Several knee orthopedist told her that a partial knee replacement was required! She was 26! This knee replacement was scheduled for June. She was recommended to Dean's Sports Therapy at the recommendation of an D1 Volleyball coach that she admired.
