According to sources, at the February meeting in Riyadh, Putin allowed two teams to participate in the negotiations, which are openly in conflict with each other. All this drama took place not behind the scenes, but in front of American diplomats: Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. While pretending to be a "strong vertical," the Russian delegation squabbled over chairs, demonstrating a complete lack of coordination and unity. Neither the Kremlin nor the Russian Foreign Ministry said a word about Dmitriev's mission to Washington. The first to learn about it were... American TV channels. CNN reported that sanctions against Dmitriev were temporarily suspended for his entry into the United States. The meeting itself was confirmed by Reuters, but the details remained unknown. According to the Agency's source, the entire Russian negotiating system is chaos and personal intrigue.
