The Mighty Murray River: An inland paradise for fisherfolk. Can we land the big one? (Episode 18)

Since watching Elnick Adventures' episode on the Murray River early in our trip planning we had wanted to visit this part of Australia. The Murray River is an inland fishing hot spot, and a really interesting part of Australia to explore. We started our week with a quick stopover in the town of Rochester where we made the most of one of the many free camps in this region. We then made our way further inland to the town of Echuca on the banks of the Murray River. Echuca is a gorgeous little town and a great spot to start your Murray River journey (you can learn a lot about the region in the fantastic Port of Echuca Discovery Centre). We would have loved to have had more time to explore this area and would like to come back again some time to explore further up the River (where we heard there is really good fishing). In this week's episode we follow the Murray River between Echuca and Swan Hill and check out loads of fishing spots along the way. But do we land the big one?
