We set out on a semi rainy morning with heavy cloud cover. Days like these are suppose to be ideal for targeting Striped Bass, but that was not the case it took effort to come up with just two fish w/ one that got away. Jon hooks into a decent Spring run Striped Bass on a top water glider first thing in the morning. We also hit up a few other spots, tossing top water and sub-surface baits with no avail, either they were not present or the fish were just not interested in chasing bait at that time. We also trolled Shag Sough with two Stripers showing interest on shallow divers, of course the larger fish got off, it was much bigger than I had first thought (I felt the 'Head Shakes' and the weight of a heavy Striper. At least Jon had a great day ... "one is better than none" We even got more 'Shout-Outs" from fans, we are always flattered. On the Calif. Delta
