DAY TRIP TO BRUGES, BELGIUM | Exploring the Venice of the North! | Bruges, Belgium Travel Vlog

Come along with us on a day trip to Bruges, Belgium from Brussels! 🇧🇪 We’re starting our day off by navigating to the Brussels train station where we grab a train out to the tiny city of Bruges. 🚂 Bruges is unique in Europe because it wasn’t touched by either World War and all of the buildings are original. The tiny waterways that carve through the traditional Belgian houses give Bruges its iconic nickname, “The Venice of the North”! 🚤 Our first stop in the city is the nearest waffle stand for sustenance as we explore in the wintry weather. 🧇 Then we’re off to find the Bruges windmills, twisting and turning through the tiny alleys and over countless bridges and canals. 🌬 After we finally find them we decide to head for the most popular site in all of Bruges, the Basilica of the Holy Blood. 🩸⛪️ This Basilica houses a fascinating relic said to be a bit of cloth that was used to clean Jesus’ body after his crucifixion.
