Hamburger Steak with Onion Gravy (I used deer) Meat: • 2 lbs ground beef (or venison) • ½ cup freshy grated Parmesan cheese • 1½ tsp salt • ¼ tsp black pepper • ¼ tsp cayenne • 2 tsp onion powder • 2 tsp garlic powder • 2 tsp paprika • Avocado oil, for browning Gravy: • 1 large onion, thinly sliced • 2 tsp minced garlic • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes • 3 cups beef broth • 1 tbsp Worcestershire • 1 tbsp coconut aminos • 2 tsp Dijon mustard • ½ tsp dried thyme • ½ tsp dried oregano • 1 tsp dried parsley Thickener: • 1 tbsp tapioca starch • 1 tbsp water ⸻ Instructions: 1. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet. Add sliced onions and cook low and slow until caramelized. 2. While onions cook, mix ground meat with Parmesan and all meat seasonings. Form into patties. 3. Remove onions and set aside. Add more oil to the skillet and brown patties on both sides. 4. Return onions to the skillet. Add garlic and cook about 2 minutes. Stir in red pepper flakes. 5. Add beef broth, Worcestershire, coconut aminos, Dijon, thyme, oregano, and parsley. Stir everything until combined. 6. Cover and simmer on medium heat for 30–40 minutes, or until meat is cooked through. 7. Mix tapioca starch with water, stir into gravy, then remove from heat. Let rest a few minutes to thicken. Tip: Too thick? Add a splash of broth or water. Too thin? Mix a little tapioca with water and stir it in — done! #heartdinner #venison #FlavorExplosion #yum #easyrecipe #easydinner
