Faron Young with "Congratulations" recorded from the original South African 78 rpm shellac single on Capitol JCL 144. "Congratulations", B-side to "Hello Walls", was released in South Africa in 1961. The single was originally released in the US in February 1961 with "Hello Walls" peaking at Nr. 1 on Billboard's Country Chart and Nr. 12 on the Hot 100 Pop Chart. Both sides were recorded on January 7, 1961 at Bradley Film & Recording Studio in Nashville, Tennessee with Faron Young on lead vocal, Floyd Cramer on piano and Buddy Harman on drums. Other musicians unknown. Backing vocals by The Jordanaires featuring Hoyt Hawkins, Hugh Jarrett, Neal Matthews and Gordon Stoker. Produced by Ken Nelson. Words and music by Willie Nelson.
