In this video I share my 5 steps for winterizing my garden: *Putting Away Patio Furniture, Benches, Statuary, Water Fountains & Birdbaths, and non frost hardy pots/planters. *Bring in Plants that need overwintering ie. anything grown in a pot that is not hardy in your zone. In the video I go over this process step by step. *Decide which plants you'll cut back in fall, and which you will leave until spring. I have 3 categories of plants which I clean up in fall, and I share them with you in this video. *Provide insulation to any plants that have exposed roots. Add a layer of mulch, compost, or leaves to protect your plants against fluctuating cold and freezing temperatures. Also, cover or protect any plants that are only marginally hardy in your zone, or plants that have flowering buds that might be sensitive to a deep freeze.
