That can be done in two ways. First, your hand ranks higher than theirs, and this video shows you the ten different ranks of poker hands in Texas Holdem, from lowest to highest. Hands of a higher rank will always beat those of a lower rank. So the best hand of all (Royal Flush) always beats the second best (Straight Flush), which always beats the third best (Four of a Kind), etc. However, it’s pretty common that two players left at the end of the game have the same hand – so they both have three of a kind, for example. In that situation, it’s the player with the higher cards who wins. So three fives would beat three twos. If two players end up with a Full House – three of a kind and a pair – then the player who has the higher three of a kind wins.
