A medieval carol for the "Christmas New year." A New Year's carol. That's nice. After all - it is still only the 4th day of Christmas. This is from the 14th century. I play it with a little Gaudete, which sounds more medieval than it is. Classical guitar for Alan Partridge. I have a fondness for carols, and for Christmas, and in the last few years, for French music, so this one is ticking a few boxes. I have arranged another, similar to this, for an album due next year. Gaudete is included. Maybe the first medieval tune I heard in my life, about fifty years ago. here are the words to Noel Nouvelet....
