Rock Your Repaired Amp! Probably the most famous Klone of all: a faithful reproduction of the original Klon Centaur with NOS diodes, wonderful build quality and, yes, it works on 9V batteries too! FREEDOM!! One of the nicest drives and boosts out there, and very different from everything we tried so far. Even the Maxon VOP9 is very different from this, not to mention the old TS/OD9. If anyone has any comparison ideas, let us know, and we'll try them out! Short review: it's a keeper. And not just because it's famous. It does so many awesome tones with both guitar and bass, both as a standalone overdrive and as a boost into a hot tube amp! And the attention to detail is really nice too, down to the exquisitely sparkleful paint job, haha! One of the loudest pedals ever made, even clean. And how well does it replicate an original Klon? We'd be very happy to compare them though if we could find a Centaur to rent. But until then, going from the existing demos, it really seems as close as Klon Centaurs themselves are from one another.
