Reimagining Globalisation: the Future of the Global Economy with Dani Rodrik

In recent years globalisation has been a central economic issue. There has been significant backlash against globalisation with the presidency of Donald Trump and COVID-19. The future of the global economy is highly uncertain but there is nobody better placed to speak on this topic than Dani Rodrik. Professor Rodrik will speak for about 20 minutes on ‘Reimagining Globalisation’ and then there will be plenty of time for questions on the global economy and any broader issues you would like to raise. Dani Rodrik is a professor of International Political Economy at Harvard University. His research revolves around globalisation, economic growth and development and political economy. His is the winner of the 2002 Leontief Prize for Advancing the Frontiers of Economic Thought. His works include Economics Rules: The Rights and Wrongs of the Dismal Science and The Globalization Paradox: Democracy and the Future of the World Economy.
