Province Life in Oman | Searching for Fresh Fish by the Sea | Simple Family Life Abroad For today’s vlog, we are sharing a glimpse of our simple province-style life here in Oman. Since we live close to the sea, we decided to try buying fresh fish after someone told us that local fishermen sell their fresh catch nearby. It was actually our first time trying to experience this, but before going out, I cooked our lunch and snack. Dy grilled fish while I made pancakes. After cooking, we ate together and rested for a while. Later in the afternoon, we got ready to walk to the seaside to look for fresh fish. It was about a 30-minute walk along the beach. Unfortunately, we didn’t see anyone selling fish, so we asked some locals. They told us that fresh fish is usually sold only in the morning, which is why we weren’t able to buy any. Before heading home, we stopped by a mini grocery near a hotel to buy some basic needs, then went back home. Fishing was one of the main livelihoods of Oman before the discovery of oil and gas. Simple moments like this remind us to appreciate the beauty of simple life and family bonding. Thank you so much for watching.
