Trackside at Laverton; Metro Trains & Freight Trains - Melbourne Transport

In this video we see various trains trackside at Laverton; a busy station situated on the Werribee line in Melbourne's western suburbs. Laverton is one of the junctions where the Altona Loop branch line splits from the 'main' Werribee line. We start the first batch of clips at Laverton junction, recorded from the bike path. Here we see various Metro Comeng, Siemens and X'trapolis EMU's on Werribee line services using the main line, and a couple of Laverton services via the Altona Loop. We then head off to the Princess Freeway embankment which gives a great overview of Laverton station. Here we also see a couple of freight trains on the standard gauge line, including Pacific National 4CK5 outbound grain train with two 81 Classes, 7902v up Mildura Fruity with XR558, G523, BL28 & BL38, and SCT 7922v up Dooen freight with two CSR Classes. And the usual disclaimer for my trackside videos; all clips were filmed in public areas. A couple of clips were filmed through the fence by the bike path.
