Geologic formations can be quite beautiful, but at the same time complex and potentially overwhelming. Yet, there is a fairly easy way to identify the relative age of each rock unit in a formation, which this video will briefly color via the 4 laws of stratigraphy. These laws include the law of superposition, the law of original horizontality, the law of cross cutting relations, and the law of lateral continuity.
