Romans 5:6-8 "You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. It is impossible to earn God’s love through our earthly performance. Yet, we still try to over and over. It is tempting to continuously live in a way that strives to prove our worthiness. However, our only hope of redemption, transformation, and salvation are found in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because of this, we can stop running on the treadmill of life that gets us nowhere, and find freedom from the gift that God has offered us.
