Step 1: Eat healthy foods Eat healthy, high-fiber foods throughout the day, such as vegetables, whole grains, bran cereal, and fruits. Step 2: Drink water The most common cause of hemorrhoids is constipation. Drink at least eight glasses of water a day to help prevent it. Step 3: Exercise Exercise 30 minutes a day to help with your digestion. Yoga, swimming, and walking will ease constipation. Consult a physician before attempting any exercise plan. Step 4: Soak in warm bath Soak for 15 to 20 minutes in warm water to cover your buttocks and hips. Tip Avoid soap, scented bath salts, and essential oils or you could worsen the inflammation.
