The struggle of the Madiga community demanding the implementation of Internal Reservation (Sub-Classification) in Karnataka has been intensifying day by day. This movement has been continuing for nearly 35–40 years, demanding justice and fair distribution of reservation benefits within the Scheduled Castes. During the protest, Internal Reservation activist Ambanna Arolikar strongly criticized the political parties that he believes are responsible for delaying the implementation of internal reservation. According to him: A1 – Congress A2 – BJP A3 – JDS He alleged that due to political reasons and lack of will from these parties, the implementation of internal reservation has been continuously delayed. People from the Madiga community including youth, women, leaders, and social organizations across the state are raising their voices and uniting in this struggle for social justice.
