1948 Packard Deluxe Eight cold start / driving

This 1948 Packard Eight Deluxe Touring sedan spent the last 68 years in the Gerz collection, a local Lancaster, PA mechanic who dealt mainly in Chevrolet and Packard vehicles throughout the second half of the 20th Century. Purchased in 1957 off its original owner and still showing less than 40,000 miles from new, this Packard remains original and in very good condition throughout. The black lacquer paint is almost entirely original, and shows well with only some localized areas of cracking and buff-through. Meanwhile, the tan houndstooth cloth interior is in remarkable, pristine condition. In preparation for sale, it was treated to a rebuilt carburetor, oil service, brake hoses, repacked front wheel bearings, and the installation of an auxiliary electric fuel pump. This Packard goes down the road beautifully. We do recommend a new set of tires before being driven at highway speeds or long distances.
