Graffiti and rubbish in the alleyway that separates two streets of two up two down type terrace houses. Line of terrace housing, the houses are all deserted and the windows are boarded up. A woman and a girl walk past the boarded up houses. Graffiti and street art on walls about the IRA (Irish Republican Army). Barracks for soldiers? A building surrounded by metal barriers and covered by CCTV. Armoured Personnel Carrier drives down the road, soldiers rifles poke through the windows of the vehicle. Graffiti on a wall reads 'In memory of those murdered by plastic bullets' another piece of graffiti reads 'Plastic Death'. British soldiers patrolling the streets, civilians go about their daily routine. Soldiers with guns take up their positions to cover a street, across the road a baby in a pram waits outside a shop. Armed soldiers ignore the baby and patrol. Rubbish in the street. Woman and little girl walk down a street. Little boy walks towards the camera down a street of terrace houses. Military vehicles carrying British troops, soldiers in armoured personnel carriers. British soldier in the street and evidence of bomb damage in the background. Soldiers and their rifles, boys in the street laugh at the camera. Woman pushes a pram past soldiers. Soldier squats on the pavement, others take up positions in doorways of houses, one looks through the sights of his gun. Huntley Film Archives is a film library holding tens of thousands of films.
