He studied under noble Scholars from Ash-Sham, Egypt, the Hijaz and Mauritania, Scholars representing all four madhahib. Under them, he studied the `Ulum ush-Shar`iyyah and `Ulum ul-Aalah, memorised a considerable number of texts, was examined and tested in them, and thereafter granted authorisation to teach and transmit them. The Shaikh is Hanbali in fiqh and theology, and in ihsan follows the methodology of Shaikh `Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani. He has expertise in comparative theology, having studied and memorised texts from the Hanbali, Maturidi and Ash`ari theological texts. He studied the Hanbali madhhab to an advanced level and also undertook the study of comparative fiqh and all the other sciences of the Revealed Law. Today, he teaches at his ma`ahad Hanbali fiqh, theology, ihsan, tafsir, tajwid, history and other sciences. The Shaikh continues his study and memorisation and remains engaged in his translation projects.
