Hello Comrades! My Hero Academia jumped into the anime spotlight about as fast as Deku went to save Bakugo. A new "modernized" shonen that took a lot of inspiration from its predecessors was exactly what the fans wanted and the first few seasons of MHA scratched that itch perfectly. However, modernization requires change and as the story progressed, the community started to notice a growing difference between their expectations and what they were actually shown, resulting mixed opinions about this initially sensational anime. Now that a decade has passed and we can finally look at the whole picture, let us figure out what really happened.
