Kia, David and I skied San Gorgonio. We made the mistake of getting too far apart and separated, so unfortunately David did not summit. Kia and I donned crampons to finish the last one thousand feet up the steep north face. We waited a little on the top but it was not the best place to hang out due to the strong winds. We took a lot of care descending as the firm windboard and patches of ice on the steep face demanded concentration. A fall here could be very bad. Nonetheless we got down safely and enjoyed some great snow on the ski out. After meeting up with David back at the car and hearing how he slipped earlier on the slope, it reiterated the importance of staying together.
