ramble below: If i'm reflecting on the whole year as a whole, I think I managed to do a lot more than I first thought I did going into making this reel. I'll start this off by saying I'll be taking an indefinite break from sprite animation. It's a combination of a couple of reasons, but I think my general style got too detail oriented for me to reasonably make anything long which sucked. I've only completed one long project all of 2025 and I think that's a sign of something going wrong in the process. Despite me trying some other sprite styles in the last quarter of 2025 I still wasn't able to really stick to any of them, and so until I get the spark back and do some major rethinking about how I go about doing animation, I'll be focusing my energy on other creative avenues. My art's been going well and I'm happy to see myself progress. I had a lot of big plans for my characters and the story I wanted to tell, but at this point there's no chance they'll ever get properly finished. I'll be giving them a proper burial later, but it kind of sucks having done such a brash move back in February and then never picking it up again. That's all I really have to say though. My 2025 this year in general was pretty good despite the lull i've taken on since October, and I'm hoping to make 2026 just as good. Take care, and thanks for supporting my work!
