Hey Hey again in Cyberpunk 2077. Last time were (I think) July 2022. Liked it back then, but wanted to game it someday, when I got my graphics card upgraded. That day is now. Or to be more precise, I bought a RTX 5060 TI card, but before doing the change, I want to do some FPS tests. Just out of curiosity to see the difference in numbers. Sorry BTW for the FPS counter on the top, but now you know the reason why. Going to upload a few more videos with that FPS counter, to have various games I usually game, plus Benchmark tests, with both old card (GTX 1060 6GB), and the new RTX 5060 TI, before I will call it a day, and that project done. Please stay patient, and I do the switch to the new graphics card, that will give you guys nicer quality. And hopefully help me improve a bit, in FPS games. Still fumbling around in Cyberpunk 2077. And feeling like a noob. It's been also approximately 3 years and 6 months since I game it. Plus some things doesn't seem intuitive to me. Not sure were to see my health stats. So I just eat and drink at random moments, so I don't get critical level suddenly. But will look that up. Perhaps, or almost for sure, I've just been blind and stupid (again) :-D Doing a mix between free style exploring, and missions in the game. Fun to explore this weird world, and talk to those strange citizen of this mega-city. And hear what kind of comments they have. At first, to learn or relearn the basics in the game. Like get clothes on. See health stats, amount of money etc. That kind of basic stuff. And later go out in the city to explore. And to a RipperDoc to get my body and mind upgraded. And started a mission, at the end of the video. Cadeau goes out to our great American scify author William Gibson. That made the book "Neuromancer" in 1984. And made the word "Cyberspace" popular. Just looked it up, and got wiser: Bruce Bethke coined the term cyberpunk in 1980 for his short story titled "Cyberpunk", which was published in Amazing Stories in 1983. He derived the word from cybernetics, the science of replacing human functions with computerized systems, and punk, reflecting the rebellious, nihilistic sensibility of 1970s and 1980s youth culture. Although William Gibson is widely recognized as the genre’s defining figure due to his 1984 novel Neuromancer, it was Bethke who first introduced the term. So... William Gibson's novel "Neuromancer" (1984) are a Cyberpunk genre story. And used (and invented) the word "Cyberspace" in the story for a futuristic kind of internet with big Corp watching, and a VR landscape. And hackers like the main character, doing various hacking shady jobs. But the author never actually use the word "Cyberpunk" in his Cyberpunk-genre book. So thanks to Bruce Bethke for inventing the word. And thanks to William Gibson, for making the Cyberpunk universe popular, to a wider audience. And also adding "Cyberspace" as a new word in the dictionaries. To get more into the details, William Gibson actually used the word "Cyberspace" first 2 years earlier in 1982. But were a short story. And got more details about that imaginary electronic world, in his book "Neuromancer" in 1984. From Google: The term cyberspace was first recorded in dictionaries in 1982, when it was coined by science fiction author William Gibson in his short story Burning Chrome, published in Omni magazine. The book at 00:06:15 are "Sayonara Station" written by Luke Steelman. Can be found as a readable shard. Contains an excerpt from the book. Here's the link for locations: https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Say... Thanks for watching. Regards from Krusty :-) BTW Had housefire earlier in 2023, and lost everything. It's a while ago now, but my economy still not that great after that fire. Buying all those both basic items, but also some few items above basic like eg. TV and stereo etc again. If possible, I would appreciate any kind of donation. I have the link on my YouTube Profile, and here below. Thanks in advance. If I get any kind of donations, I will use it, to upgrade my system.
