This is a big messy codec comparison! We're comparing 10-bit 4K h.265 25p All-I 400mbps, 4K 400mbps Long GOP, the 4K 200mbps Long GOP 50p, the HD 100p, and the 8-bit h.264 200mbps Long GOP. **Sample 4k50p: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1R3k... A little all over the place this time, didn't have as much time to do this as I would have liked. Here's a couple extra notes I kinda just forgot/too lazy to go back & mention: The h.264 does band a little more than the h.265 in the 'bad bluescreen' test The HD 100p is actually noticably softer than the 50p (4k and HD) in high detail/contrast scenes. I shot the first piece to camera on the Sony FS5 at UHD, not on the Fuji. h.264 has less colour info across all stops of DR, but far less in the shadows compared to h.265, highlights are comparable. The end piece to camera is the XT3, on full auto, and required heavy colour correction to cool it down, not sure if auto WB is therefore reliable for interiors. (you can also see it shifting mid-shot) I'll be uploading some more sample footage for people to play with eventually namely; F-LOG 4k50p 200mbps h.265, F-LOG HD 100p. This took forever to upload as 4k prores is massive. (21.7Gb) My bad that this took longer than usual, been a little busy!
