CBSE CLASS 12TH PRIVATE EXAM REGARDING THE MARKSHEET AND CERTIFICATE. CLASS 10TH PRIVATE EXAM SCHEME SEPARATE NOTICE RELEASE SOON IN CBSE WEBSITE OFFICIAL. #cbseboardexamlatestupdate #cbseboardexams #cbseboard #exam #cbsepracticals #cbseclass12 #cbseprivateexam #cbsepassingmarkscriteria #cbsenews Starting in 2026, students appearing for the Class X Board examinations under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will have the option to choose between two exam sessions—one in February and another in May. Students can also appear for both exams if they wish. Additionally, they may skip specific subjects in the second attempt if satisfied with their scores from the first attempt. On Tuesday, CBSE approved the draft guidelines for implementing the twice-a-year Board exam system. These guidelines are now open for public review, allowing stakeholders to submit suggestions and feedback until March 9. The final policy will be announced after considering the received feedback. As reported by The Times of India, the first phase of the Class X Board exams will take place from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second phase will be conducted from May 5 to May 20, 2026. Both exams will cover the full syllabus and prescribed textbooks. The exam centres allotted to students will remain the same for both sessions. CBSE has decided to increase examination fees, which will be collected at the time of application filing for both attempts. No Supplementary Exams in Twice-a-year system The Board has clarified that no separate supplementary exams will be conducted. The second session in May will serve as the supplementary exam for students aiming to improve their scores. There will be no provision for special examinations under any circumstances. Alignment with NEP 2020 This decision aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which aims to reduce the "high-stakes" nature of Board exams. By offering students two opportunities within the same academic year, the Board seeks to provide flexibility and reduce academic pressure. The new exam framework categorizes subjects into seven groups: Language 1, Language 2, Elective 1, Elective 2, Elective 3, Regional and Foreign Languages, and Remaining Subjects. For practical and internal assessments, CBSE has decided that these evaluations will be conducted only once per academic year. Separate certificates will not be issued after the first examination in February-March. CBSE double board exam: Final Certification and Marksheet The final passing certificate and marksheet will be issued after the May examination. The document will include marks from both exam sessions (if the student appeared for both) and will reflect the best score obtained in each subject.
