The big hit single from that album "Rock Me" is the subject of this lesson, specifically the guitar solo. Led by vocalist Jack Russell (RIP) and guitarist Mark Kendall, Great White was a hard rock band with heavy 70's blues rock influences. They weren't really metal and they weren't glam either, and that set them apart from some of their contemporaries. Kendall's guitar style is ultra bluesy and laid back, although he can rip off some fast runs when needed. This guitar solo is a testament to the virtues of playing for the song. This is a great solo to work on if you are a late beginner or intermediate level player, and even some of you advanced guys will dig learning this! TAB, Guitar Pro and Backing track available at Patreon in link above. I used a JCM 800 profile fromMatt Fig in my Kemper for this lesson. Rock On!
