"Truth, Voice, Treaty" composed by Keyna Wilkins for Sirius Chamber Ensemble (Clarinet: Ian Sykes, Flute: Melissa Colman, Cello: Clare Kahn, Viola: Lucy Carrigy-Ryan, Piano: Keyna Wilkins) and didgeridu soloist Raph Hatz in 2026. Keyna Wilkins wrote "Truth, Voice, Treaty" as a response to the 2023 failed Australian referendum to get an Indigenous voice in parliament, after discussing the themes with members of Sirius Chamber Ensemble. The work was commissioned by Sirius Chamber Ensemble in 2026 for yidaki (didgeridu), flute, piano, viola, cello and clarinet. There are three sections recurring, mirroring the title, with some improvised sections, especially from the yidaki part (didgeridu). Wilkins endeavours to capture the mood of cultural collaboration and an Indigenous voice to parliament, that many in the Australian community still want. www.keynawilkins.com
