A week of paddling in Scotland on grade 4 rivers, though mostly in low to medium levels. Rivers featured are the Etive, Spean gorge, Loy, Pattack, Middle Roy (Roy gorge) and Orchy. This is an abridged version (just twenty minutes) of our original 45 minute video, cut down to show mainly the Waddingtons paddling, as the target audience for the shortened edit was the Swaledale Outdoor Club. The club prefers videos embedded in its site to feature club members as much as possible. GoPro footage was by Andy Waddington, with bank footage by Andy, Phil Oakley and Mary Waddington. We had two GoPros (HeroHD and HeroHD2, the former on a tripod, the latter helmet-mounted) Panasonic TS2 (waterproof) and FZ38 (bank) and a Canon 600D, used only for bank footage on the Etive and at the end of the Orchy. There's a variety of frame rates in the footage (60, 48, 30) but all was transcoded down to 24 fps for the final edit, giving us 0.4x slow motion for a few clips. Editing was on kdenlive on a Linux PC.
