To announce our Black Friday sale this year, we wanted to do something a bit different. Instead of a comedy announcement or an over-the-top sales pitch, we wanted to celebrate the guitar community. For many of us, the online guitar community was just beginning to take shape when we started playing; YouTube was new, social media was MySpace, and discussions about gear and tone primarily took place on forums. But in 2005, there was one video that we all saw. One video that everybody saw. One video that was once the most-viewed video on YouTube. It was the first YouTube video that a lot of people ever saw, and it even inspired many people to begin playing. It is our great honour and absolute privilege to revisit this video with the one and only ‪@Funtw0‬ playing "Canon Rock" arranged by JerryC, composed by Johann Pachelbel. Whether you’re seeing this for the first time, or, like us, the nostalgia of a 20-year-old piece of internet history hits you, we hope this can serve as a little reminder that ultimately we’re all part of this community because we love guitar.
