Tampa Bay Vineyard is a Vineyard USA church meeting at CenterPlace 619 Vonderburg Dr. Ste. B Brandon, FL This powerful message confronts us with a challenging question: does our faith have feet? Drawing from James chapter 2, we're reminded that Christianity was never meant to be a spectator sport or a Sunday morning fashion show. The early church exploded across the world not through eloquent sermons alone, but through radical love demonstrated to the poor, the marginalized, and the forgotten. We're challenged to examine whether we show partiality based on appearance or economic status, and whether our actions align with the royal law Jesus gave us: to love our neighbor as ourselves. The tension between faith and works is beautifully resolved here—we're not saved by works, but genuine faith inevitably produces works as evidence. Like Abraham offering Isaac or Rahab hiding the spies, authentic faith always moves us to action. The question isn't whether we believe God exists—even demons do that—but whether our belief transforms how we treat the person standing in front of us. This message pushes us out of our comfort zones to ask: would there be enough evidence to convict us as Christians in a court of law? Are we merely hearers of the Word, or are we doers who demonstrate God's love tangibly to those society overlooks? 0:00 - 7:00 Chapter 1: The Foundation of Ministry to the Poor We explore how Jesus ministered to the poor and disenfranchised, and how this pattern continued through the Pentecostal movement and modern ministries like Compassion International. 7:00 - 13:00 Chapter 2: No Partiality in the Body of Christ We learn that showing favoritism or discrimination has no place in the church, as God's presence demands we treat all people equally regardless of their economic status or appearance. 13:00 - 18:00 Chapter 3: The Royal Law and Mercy Over Judgment We discover that the royal law commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves, and that all sin is equal before God, requiring us to show mercy rather than judgment to others. 18:00 - 26:00 Chapter 4: Faith and Works: The Evidence of True Belief We understand that while faith alone saves us, works are the necessary evidence and manifestation of genuine faith, not a contradiction but a completion of our salvation. 26:00 - 32:00 Chapter 5: The Vineyard Distinctive: Putting Faith Into Action We are challenged to demonstrate our faith through action, particularly in ministry to the poor, as one of the core distinctives of authentic Christianity and the vineyard movement.
