In the spirit of community, the BCBIA had the pleasure of partnering with The Cultch in January 2018 to market, sponsor and promote the acclaimed multidisciplinary, immersive theatrical experience Reassembled, Slightly Askew. Created by brain injury survivor and playwright Shannon Yee, this powerful interactive theatre piece takes the participant on a journey of recovery from Shannon's injury. "An audacious melding of art and science, this multidisciplinary adventure is a head-trip in the literal sense. The survivor of a medically induced coma and acquired brain injury, creator Shannon Yee presents a chance for us to live through her medical journey. In this radically immersive production, audience members lie on hospital beds, put on headphones and enter her mind.
