The Greenhouse Project Mobile Pantry is open on Lodge Lane in Liverpool every Thursday from 10am until noon. The project, which was lunched in 2021, is funded by significant donations from Spirit of Shankly and delivered by Fans Supporting Foodbanks Members pay a fee of £3.50 when they visit and access up to £20 of perishable and non/perishable food items and other goods Fans Supporting Foodbanks operate six pantries across the city - The Greenhouse Project (Lodge Lane), Everton in the Community’s Blue Base, Fazakerley Federation Centre, Vauxhall Community Neighbourhood Centre, Netherley Youth & Community Centre and St Mary’s Millennium Centre (West Derby). They provided food to approximately 60,000 people in 2021/22. In its first year the Greenhouse Project Mobile Pantry helped more than 13,000 people. Fans Supporting Foodbanks was formed in 2015 through a partnership between Spirit of Shankly and The Blue Union. From collecting food in a wheelie bin outside Everton and Liverpool games on matchdays, FSF now supplies 25% of all food donations to North Liverpool foodbanks. 34% using Greenhouse Pantry are over 65 Liverpool John Moores University research: “The mobile pantries have become a permanent lifeline for thousands across the city.”
