This video concludes the series of videos that I have uploaded upon the durability of Regulators & that you should not be worried or apprehensive about servicing them. We shall now concentrate upon Hints & Tips to assist you in the both the fundamentals of fitting & setting up of your regulators. As well as hopefully at some point in the future stripping & rebuilding other makes or regulator. (TEXT AS OF PART 1) Airgun Regulators are in general fairly sturdy & robust, this is part of the course. Working in an environment loaded with1000's of P.S.I (Hundreds of Bar) they have to be suitably sturdy. The chances of any regulator having a mechanical breakage is slim (I have never seen a broken component on any manufactures regulator), however seals do were out & become perished with age. I often see in Airgun chat rooms or have links posted on to me that are Silly Childish Chat. For fun & as daft as this: OOOOO No, you have to fit your regulator on a Tuesday when it is a full moon, then walk around it backwards carrying crossed OX bones!!!!!!! A regulator is a simple mechanical valve that works on force & pressure differential, to provide air at a set metered pressure. A regulator is not a devise to: Up the power, Lower the power, Give a great number of shots, Give greater accuracy. A regulator is a devise that simply keeps the air pressure in the Outlet Valve Chamber / Firing Pot at a near constant. The combination of Regulator at the Correct Set Pressure, with an Outlet Valve Chamber of the Correct Volume & with the Outlet Valve Spring / Hammer Springs Re-balanced & Adjustments made leads to: Improved Shot to Shot consistency FPS, A greater efficiency of energy use (i.e. Less air used per shot) giving a greater number of shots, which in turn lead to greater accuracy. The bulk of the cost of having a Regulator fitted is not the cost of the physical item its self 'The Mechanical Regulator' but it is the payment for the skill of the Gun Smith in fitting & balancing, so as to provide you with the best performance. In general those whom manufacture regulators do not supply them as an 'Individual Item', but supply them as part of a 'Regulation Fitting Service'. Those supplying regulators only or as well as, are not selling Cheap Regulators, they are supplying a Regulator Only - Not Regulator & Custom Fitting. No matter who's Regulator you purchase, they are from my many years experience 'Sturdy & Robust'. Fantastic Martial Music by: Goataholic / skjald88
