In this video I'll play 7 different dancehall drum patterns and show you how to re-create them in any DAW (FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic, etc.) Drum Pattern 1 i. Divide 1 bar with 16 notes (set a 16th note grid in your DAW) ii. Place the kick on 1, 4, and 11 (count from 1-16 on the bar grid) iii. Place the snare on 7 and 13 Drum Pattern 2 i. Place the kick on 1 and 11 ii. Place the snare on 4, 7 and 13 Drum Pattern 3 i. Place the kick on 1 and 7 ii. Place the snare on 4 and 13 Drum Pattern 4 i. Place the kick on 1 and 11 ii. Place the snare on 7 and 13 iii. Place a kick on 4 for the 2nd bar. Drum Pattern 5 i. Place the kick on 1, 4, 9 and 12 ii. Place the snare on 7 and 15 iii. Place a kick on 7 for the 2nd bar.
