The Mawryngkhang Bamboo Trek (Bamboo Trail), located in the village of Wahkhen in Meghalaya, is widely considered one of the most thrilling and unique treks in India. The trek is a short but thrilling cliffside bamboo-walk trek, usually done in 4–5 hours. Often called the "Bamboo Trail," its most striking feature is a series of hand-woven bamboo bridges and ladders constructed by local villagers that cling to the sides of steep granite cliffs. The trek distance is around 3.5 – 3.7 kms round trip. October to April (Winter/Spring) is best time to visit.
